We are looking for an awesome Junior Sous Chef to join our Kitchen team at The Barnsdale. This role is based on a 4 day working week, allowing you to still have a generous work-life balance.

You will:
* Lead our kitchen team, in absence of the Head Chef.
* Ensure that all chefs are briefed ahead of service and are familiar with day to day expectations and requirements.
* Ensure that the necessary stocks are on hand at the right quality and quantity.
* Ensure that timetables, leave rosters and attendance registers are up-to-date.
* Ensure that all statutory, as well as company, hygiene regulations are being strictly adhered to and maintain records and logs.
* Monitor and maintain a strong understanding of health & safety compliance standards, so the team adhere to current legislation.
* Maintain open communication with the front of house team, ensuring the whole F&B operation runs as smoothly as possible.
* Ensure that each dish leaving the kitchen is checked for quality, quantity, presentation and correct temperature.
* Engage with relevant training and development for your role for further advancement.
