About The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Exchequer Services Team here in Fareham.
You will be office based and assist with the delivery of the Exchequer Service including providing accurate advice to employees and customers in relation to creditors and debtors.
If you are looking for a role in local government and this sounds like a job you would relish, then we would love to hear from you.
About You
You will be customer focused, passionate about doing a good job and getting things right first time.
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tasks whilst keeping to deadlines.
Previous experience of working within payables and receivables would be desirable along with basic knowledge of debt collection.
About Us
We take pride in receiving feedback from others who say we are a friendly and professional organisation. By working for us you will become part of the team and will play your part in serving our community.
You would be joining one of the most forward-looking borough councils in the Southeast, a happy team and a well-managed Council. We offer a great pension scheme, authorised parking, tech schemes and a car lease scheme to name a few of the benefits of working for us.
We encourage our employees to make a valuable contribution to the work of the Council by having a trusting and open culture, where ideas are actively sought. We also recognise the value of a highly motivated and engaged workforce.
We are committed to ensuring our services are delivered to the highest possible standard and we put the customer at the forefront of everything we do.
Fareham Borough Council is committed to being a disability inclusive employer and in order to support this commitment we are proud to be part of the Government's Disability Confident scheme demonstrating that we will provide a fair and equal route to employment with the Council.
Being part of the scheme means we proactively seek to address inequality for those with disabilities by challenging attitudes towards disability, increasing understanding of disability and removing barriers to disabled people and those with long-term health conditions.
