What You'll Be Doing
As the Hygiene Lead, you will report directly to the Quality Manager and collaborate daily with both Quality and Production Managers. Your key responsibilities include:
* Providing expertise on suitable chemicals and equipment for effective cleaning methods, liaising with third-party contractors (e.g., Diversey).
* Ensuring compliance with all company requirements, including Food Safety and Health and Safety standards.
* Meeting the requirements of all third-party and customer standards and codes of practice.
* Leading hygiene-related third-party or customer audits.
* Serving as a subject matter expert as part of the onsite HACCP team.
* Managing the prerequisite program for cleaning and sanitation, including associated budgets.
* Supporting all site functions to achieve site objectives.
What You Can Bring to the Role
* A key qualification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH) is ideal, but we support training for candidates with the right skills and eagerness to learn.
* Previous experience in a Hygiene role within Food Manufacturing.
* Proven ability to influence key stakeholders and drive change on site.
* Experience in building networks to share best practices across sites.
* Strong standard-setting skills and the ability to hold people accountable.
* Ability to interpret and implement key legislative information at the site level.
* A positive influencer who can impact site and senior teams to drive change.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with various internal and external contacts.
* Strong organizational and project management skills.
