This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and knowledgeable individual with experience in supporting neurodiverse learners. The role will focus on implementing an online assessment tool called Cognassist to undertake assessments to identify cognitive and learning challenges, to enable tailored strategies and resources to enhance learning. The successful candidate will play a key role in embedding Cognassist to enhance learner experience and achievement. This is for a fixed term period to pilot the tool initially with our apprenticeship learners across the college.
Ideally you will have experience of a neurodiverse assessment tool or platform such as Cognassist.
You will be required to work collaboratively with the additional support teams and curriculum teams to coordinate the successful implementation of the pilot.
It is essential that you have the ability to build positive relationships, displaying excellent organisational and administrative skills demonstrating a flexible and professional attitude.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be flexible and have a pro-active approach to your work. You must have an eye for detail, be reliable, demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and have experience of working with individuals and teams at all levels.

2. The Post
1. Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Lead and coordinate the implementation and ongoing development of Cognassist.
2. Act as the college’s Cognassist champion, providing guidance and support to staff and learners.
3. Deliver training and coaching sessions for staff on using Cognassist effectively to support neurodiverse learners.
4. Monitor and analyse Cognassist data to identify trends, inform interventions, and improve learner outcomes.
5. Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to integrate Cognassist strategies into teaching, learning, and assessment.
6. Support learners in understanding and engaging with Cognassist assessments and recommendations.
7. Ensure compliance with accessibility, safeguarding, and data protection requirements in relation to Cognassist usage.
8. Work collaboratively to evidence and track the support in line with funding requirements and additional learning support processes.
9. Keep up to date with developments in neurodiversity support and digital learning tools to continuously improve provision.
10. Contribute to quality assurance processes, including reporting on Cognassist impact and learner progress.
11. Promote inclusive practice and champion equality and diversity across all learning environments.
