We are an award-winning provider of first aid training courses and qualifications across Southwest England and Southern Wales. Over the past 7 years we have grown a fantastic reputation for delivering hands on, practical and dynamic courses. We are now looking for an experienced freelance trainer to join our growing team at First Aid Bristol.
Our ideal candidate will be experienced and committed to delivering high-quality training that meets the stated learning outcomes of our training programmes.
Candidates should have experience of delivering:
EFAW, FAW, 1 Day Paediatric, 2 Day Paediatric
You will be required to travel to deliver training, so it is vital that you have a full UK driving licence and your own car. Travel allowance is paid on top of day rates.
You must have a current DBS check and relevant Public Liability insurances in place.
At least one year's relevant experience in first aid and teaching is required.
Responsibilities
* Instruct and guide students in first aid techniques and practices.
* Deliver hands-on training and theoretical knowledge using our PowerPoints and practical activities.
* Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
* Register and sign off students in line with our protocols.
* Drive to various training locations in the area as required.
Mandatory Requirements:
* Previous work experience of first aid instructing
* Minimum Level 3 Teaching and Education Teaching qualification
* Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
* A passion for first aid and a keenness to undertake continuing professional development
Please note, this is a flexible, freelance role, with assignments allocated on an ad hoc basis to work around your other existing commitments. We have an online diary management system to help you monitor and accept assignments with us. The number of assignments will be variable depending on client demand.
For the right candidate there may be the option to become a part time employed instructor with full employment benefits if this is desired.
