Responsibilities
* Lead, develop, and support the Billing & Settlements team, fostering a high-performance culture
* Oversee forecasting, reporting, and trend analysis to support decision-making and improve performance
* Deliver clear reporting and analysis to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities
* Proactively identify and resolve billing exceptions, implementing solutions to minimise errors
* Drive automation initiatives and standardise billing approaches to increase efficiency and consistency
* Maintain system knowledge, ensuring updates and releases are embedded into operations
* Monitor and manage risks within the Billing & Settlement function with robust controls
* Stay up to date with industry developments, driving innovation and change
* Ensure compliance with internal processes, templates, and procedures
* Act as an active member of the leadership team and contribute to company objectives
* Manage, mentor, and develop the team to enable peak performance
Qualifications
* Proven experience managing billing, customer account operations, or settlements in a utilities or similar regulated industry
* Strong track record of leading, motivating, and developing teams
* Deep understanding of billing systems, account lifecycle processes, and financial reconciliation
* Attention to detail and technical proficiency for complex billing processes
* Advanced Excel skills with data analysis and presentation capabilities
* Problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities with sustainable solutions
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence
