Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary applies to candidates with substantial teaching experience.
Teach Now is recruiting a motivated and enthusiastic Year 3 Class Teacher for a welcoming and vibrant community primary school in Islington for the Summer 2 period, from after May half term until July 2026.
This friendly and inclusive school is well regarded for its strong community spirit, supportive leadership, and positive relationships with families. Serving children from nursery onwards, the school provides a nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve academically while developing confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
The Role
This full-time Year 3 teaching role is ideal for a confident KS2 teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, maintain strong classroom routines, and make a positive impact within a collaborative school environment.
Key responsibilities include:
• Planning and delivering engaging Year 3 lessons across the KS2 curriculum
• Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, progress, and presentation
• Supporting pupils of varying abilities through effective differentiation
• Creating a calm, inclusive, and purposeful classroom environment
• Working closely with colleagues and support staff across the phase
• Building positive relationships with parents and carers
• Contributing to the wider life and community ethos of the school
The Ideal Candidate
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Lower KS2
• Demonstrates strong behaviour management and classroom organisation
• Has secure curriculum knowledge and assessment skills
• Builds positive relationships quickly with pupils, staff, and families
• Is adaptable, reliable, and committed to inclusive practice
