The Royal Naval Air Engineering and Survival School are looking for someone to teach Mathematics and Engineering principles. This is an Instructional position delivering instruction up to Foundation Degree level, (BTEC Higher national equivalent) to military air engineering students. Person specification You will be teaching adult learners who are studying for their next promotion and as part of the course will achieve either a Level 4 Certificate of Higher Education or a Level 5 Foundation Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, delivered by the MOD, and accredited by the University of Portsmouth. These trainees will progress to be engineering supervisors on Royal Navy Air Squadrons, deployed around the globe. Applicants should hold a Level 5 qualification in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)- related subject and have 3 years’ experience in either teaching or engineering; formal training in Defence Instructional Techniques is available for a successful candidate if required, and further opportunities for formal civilian teaching qualifications are also available.
