We are working in partnership with a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Manchester to recruit a motivated Graduate Trainee Teacher to join their staff team from September 2025. This role is designed to provide a high-quality stepping stone into teacher training via the Future Teachers Programme, with full mentorship and in-school support throughout the year.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with strong academic credentials, a love of their subject, and the desire to inspire, guide, and support the next generation.
Responsibilities:
* Work alongside experienced teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
* Support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 in your specialist subject area (e.g., English, Maths, Science, Humanities, etc.).
* Provide small group intervention and 1:1 support to pupils who require additional guidance.
* Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and the creation of learning materials.
* Contribute to the classroom environment, ensuring students remain engaged and motivated to learn.
* Work with the school's leadership team to develop your teaching skills through continuous feedback and professional development opportunities.
Minimum Requirements:
* A degree in a relevant subject area (e.g., English, Maths, Science, History, etc.).
* A strong passion for teaching and working with young people.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
* A proactive and adaptable attitude, with a willingness to learn and develop as a teacher.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Previous experience working with children (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
* A genuine interest in pursuing a career in teaching.
