Our client is a design‑led civil, structural & geo‑environmental engineering consultancy with over 50 years of engineering excellence. They're known for being commercially aware, highly collaborative, and relentlessly committed to quality, innovation, and sustainable design.
As the project workload across Scotland and the north of England continues to grow, they have projects spanning industrial, logistics, commercial, residential and education sectors and are expanding their Civil Engineering team in Edinburgh.
The role:
They're looking for a talented Civil Engineer who is passionate about creating intelligent, sustainable engineering solutions and eager to take ownership of meaningful project work. You'll join a friendly, design‑focused studio environment and work on a wide variety of live, local projects that progress to construction, giving you invaluable hands‑on experience.
What you will do:
* Deliver high‑quality civil engineering designs across roads, drainage, and earthworks.
* Use industry‑standard software such as CIVILS 3D and Infodrainage/Microdrainage.
* Work closely with project directors, senior engineers, and a multidisciplinary team.
* Support concept, detailed, and technical design stages.
* Contribute to sustainable engineering outcomes across diverse project types.
What they're looking for:
* Minimum 4 years' experience in civil engineering design.
* Strong technical proficiency and a solid engineering background.
* Ambition to work toward chartership (we operate an accredited ICE training scheme).
* Proficiency in roads, drainage, and earthworks design.
* A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working in an energetic, design‑driven environment.
