Job Description
We are looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. In this role, you'll work in a fast-paced retail environment where no two days are the same. Your responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store's appearance. You will also contribute to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere, participate in seasonal and community events, and support the store's performance and safety policies.
If the store has a Post Office Local, your duties will include managing daily operations of the Post Office, which requires passing a background check.
Responsibilities
* Serve customers with passion and pride, providing natural, excellent service.
* Encourage customer feedback through surveys.
* Assist across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
* Follow safety training and procedures.
* Participate in store events and create an inclusive environment.
* Understand store performance and contribute to profit goals.
* Follow policies, live our values, and make everyone feel welcome.
* Accurately clock in and out for shifts.
* Follow security procedures and use safety equipment.
* Serve age-restricted products responsibly, following the 'think 25' policy.
* Respond promptly to assistance calls, explaining actions to customers.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization in the store.
* May be responsible for running shifts in absence of managers.
Note: If the store includes a Post Office Local, you will be responsible for its daily operations, requiring passing a background check.
