Were looking for an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our growing London-based operations team. In this role, youll be the go-to expert for ensuring all Blueground properties are safe, functional, and meet the highest standards of comfort and presentation.
From furniture installation and basic repairs to liaising with specialist contractors and supporting our guests with in-stay issues, youll play a vital role in delivering an exceptional living experience.
What Youll Be Doing: Property Maintenance & Repairs: Carry out general repairs and maintenance tasks, including carpentry, light painting, plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, and appliance fixes.
Installations & Upgrades: Install and assemble furniture, lighting, mirrors, and other home furnishings according to Bluegrounds design and quality standards.
Apartment Inspections: Conduct detailed walkthroughs to ensure each apartment is in perfect condition; document issues and generate lists for follow-up.
Contractor Coordination: Liaise with external specialists (plumbers, electricians, appliance engineers) when complex repairs are needed. Oversee service delivery and ensure follow-up checks are completed.
Field Coordination & Team Supervision: Act as the go-to person in the field, managing relationships with external vendors, housekeeping staff, and building personnel to ensure seamless operations.
Perform Quality Control: Conduct thorough property inspections using mobile checklists, flag issues, and ensure that every space meets our cleanliness, functionality, and design expectations.
Guest Support: Respond promptly to maintenance-related guest concerns to ensure a seamless living experience.
Inventory & Deliveries: Support the operations team by delivering small household items to properties when needed (glassware, lighting, kitchen equipment, etc.).
Requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician, General Handyman, or in a related role
Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing home appliances, with knowledge of where to source replacement parts and materials
Strong technical skills in plumbing, carpentry, light electrical work, and interior repairs
High attention to detail and ability to create accurate apartment inspection and reports
Strong communication skills and a guest-first mindset
Comfortable traveling across London daily to attend multiple property locations
Valid drivers license
Fluent in English
Availability for a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends or emergency call-outs (within a 5-day workweek)
