We're hiring a high-level YouTube video editor who understands meme culture, internet humor, and fast-paced retention editing. This is not basic cutting — we're looking for someone who is deeply familiar with Gen Z humor, current meme formats (not outdated trends), and knows how to layer memes in a way that actually enhances punchlines instead of overdoing it. The content will be 10–20 minute commentary and story-based YouTube videos edited over Minecraft parkour gameplay, so you must be comfortable working with that style of background footage and keeping pacing tight and engaging.
In addition to meme timing and clean jump cuts, you'll also be responsible for sourcing and adding relevant topic-based clips into the video. That includes pulling in news clips, viral moments, tweets, interviews, or any visual elements that strengthen the storytelling and increase retention. You should be comfortable screen-recording and finding high-quality clips quickly, understanding basic fair use principles, and making smart visual cutaways that elevate the narrative. Strong subtitle work, zooms, sound effects, and subtle pacing adjustments are expected.
You must be fluent in English, understand comedic timing at a high level, and be able to deliver within 24–72 hours. Bonus if you actively watch commentary or internet documentary-style channels and understand YouTube retention graphs. This is a long-term opportunity for the right editor who can consistently deliver engaging, culturally relevant, high-performing videos.
To apply, send 2–3 YouTube samples that showcase meme-heavy editing, at least one example where you sourced topic-related clips, your turnaround time, your rate per 10–20 minute video, and include the word "Parkour" so we know you read everything carefully.
Contract duration of more than 6 months.
