Position:
We are now looking to appoint a Workshop Assistant to join our team, based at Henshaws Arts and Crafts Centre, the successful candidate will work as part of a team of staff across centre providing care and learning support for the Artmakers, whilst enthusiastically encouraging them to develop independence with a focus on quality of life.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Support the Operations managers with the effective running of the services
* Ensure that the care support needs of each student are met as directed by their individual care plans.
* Complete comprehensive record keeping and documentation relating to the students care, support and progress.
* To uphold Henshaws values of Ambition, Respect and Empowerment.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding and knowledge of a variety of Artmaker needs, with previous experience of working in care. They should hold their level 2 in health and social care or be willing to work towards this in a specified time frame.
Salary per annum: £12.38 per hour // £23,819.12 per year
Hours per week: 37
Weeks per year: 52

Requirements:
Education & Training
NVQ 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to complete in an agreed timeframe.
Skills and Experience
Willingness to undertake and achieve Skills for Care Induction Award within 12 weeks if no formal care qualifications.
General & Specialist Knowledge
Previous experience of working in the care sector and providing personal care.
Special Requirements
Commitment to undertaking any training & personal development required.
