The role
We are looking to appoint an outgoing candidate to join our fantastic team of current Associate Teachers and Teaching Assistants. This post is ideal for a graduate who is considering a career in teaching or for someone who would like to learn more about working within a school setting. You will provide daily cover for absent subject teachers and work as a Teaching Assistant alongside lead teachers in supporting the learning of all students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and assist in the delivery of extra-curricular activities such as Sport, and / or Performing Arts. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to relate well to both children and adults, be able to work constructively as part of a team, have a willingness to gain experience of classroom practice, having a genuine interest in working with young people. Working hours: 34.75 hours per week term time plus 5 staff learning days, 39 weeks per annum. Salary paid at Band F points 7-12 in the range £26,403 to £28,598 starting point depending on experience, length of service and qualifications. Actual salary based on hours and weeks worked is calculated at £21,483 to £23,269 per annum subject to any continuous service plus £1000 allowance linked to the cover element of the role.
