The role

A forward-thinking secondary school in Northumberland is seeking a Computer Science / Computing Teacher to join its department. The role includes teaching across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 opportunities for experienced candidates.

The school is looking for a teacher who can deliver engaging lessons in programming, computational thinking, and digital literacy, preparing pupils for GCSE and A-Level Computer Science.

Northumberland | Large 11–18 Secondary with Sixth Form Provision
£163 – £265.92 per day | PAYE | Depending on experience

Key responsibilities

* Deliver high-quality Computing lessons across KS3 and KS4

* Teach GCSE Computer Science (A-Level desirable but not essential)

* Support pupils in developing coding and problem-solving skills

* Monitor and track student progress


The ideal candidate

* QTS (or equivalent)

* Experience teaching Computer Science or Computing at secondary level

* Strong subject knowledge in programming and digital systems

* Effective classroom management skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
