Duties
* Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the supervision of chefs
* Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as required
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and utensils
* Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are met
* Support catering events by preparing and serving food as needed
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods
* Assist with inventory management, including checking stock levels and reporting shortages
Experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including catering or restaurant experience
* Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary skills is advantageous
* Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential
* A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in a dynamic setting
* Strong teamwork abilities and excellent communication skills
