ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Customer Assistant in one of our John Lewis shops, you'll ensure our difference is felt through outstanding customer service and exceptional in-store experiences that our competitors cannot match.

Alongside great service, you'll maintain high shop standards through displays, stock availability, and cleanliness. Knowing your customers allows you to provide the best service and build lifelong loyalty to our brand.


Key Responsibilities

* Deliver engaging and inspirational customer service at every stage of the customer journey.
* Use your product knowledge and sales training to drive sales and increase profits.
* Proactively acknowledge and understand customer needs, resolving queries effectively.
* Support the wider team with till support, stock replenishment, price ticketing, and shop-keeping tasks.
* Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
* Assist in protecting profits through accurate stock counts.


Essential Skills/Experience

* Basic IT literacy.
* Strong communication skills.


Desirable Skills/Experience

* Experience in a customer-facing role (training provided).
* Merchandising and product display experience.

Pay: £12.40 Hourly

Contract Type: Temporary

Hours of Work: Varied hours, full and part-time, across seven days between 07:00-20:10, including early starts, late finishes, evenings, and weekends.

Job Level: Partnership Level 10

Location: Horsham (John Lewis & Partners), Albion Way, Horsham, West Sussex, RH12 1LP
