Job Title: PCB Technologist
You'll be working in a supportive environment alongside Technical Experts to support and develop a varied portfolio of electronic design and manufacturing technologies. This will require you to:
1. Support the development and evaluation of new processes and equipment at a national and international level, working collaboratively with internal and external partners/suppliers, including international travel as necessary.
2. Understand materials, characteristics, and processes of circuit card assembly/printed circuit board manufacture and how they are defined for use in our products to survive in harsh environments.
3. Assess printed circuit board fabrication and circuit card assembly processes through laboratory work and collaboration with PCB suppliers and MBDA manufacturing centres.
4. Support the adoption of standardized methodologies, including generating documented standards within national and international teams.
5. Participate in failure analysis of circuit card assemblies at component and board level.
As part of MBDA's Electronic Engineering function, PCB Technologists are responsible for providing technical support for all internal programs in the UK and with non-UK teams developing new technologies across all areas of PCB design, manufacture, and assembly. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop extensive technical skills.
