Hours: Full Time - 37 hours per week
Location: Service Headquarters, Salisbury - There will be a requirement to attend your centre of duty location at least one day a month, but this may vary from month to month depending on departmental needs. When you are not working from your centre of duty location there will be the flexibility to work from home / DWFRS Stations / Support Offices, and we will welcome a conversation with the successful candidate on what type of flexible working arrangement will work best for you.

As aCorporate Assurance Officer in our Service Improvement department you will:
1. Lead on the co-ordination of the HMICFRS inspectorate programme for the Service, acting as the main Service contact to the inspectorate
2. Oversee the annual internal audit programme Service wide, liaising with auditors and senior managers to ensure appropriate arrangements are in place and audits are completed within expectations
3. Support the Services approach to Risk Management and be the point of contact across the Service
4. Deliver audits and assurance work that support good governance across the Service
What makes you our ideal Corporate Assurance Officer?
5. Qualified to degree level, or equivalent qualification, or able to demonstrate significant level of graduate calibre experience at a senior level in a relevant sector
6. Knowledge and understanding of assurance and corporate governance and risk management
7. Knowledge and working experience of inspections and/or audit processes
