Job Description
Purpose and objectives of the role
Form part of a small team, who are responsible for the procurement of electronic /mechanical components in accordance with the manufacturing requirements for a diverse product range including medical and aerospace applications.
The primary objective is to ensure that all daily purchasing activities are completed in a timely manner.
Main duties and responsibilities
* Responsible for On-Time Delivery of components and other materials to support production
* Placing/expediting orders with suppliers in line with the MRP system
* Assisting with RFQs from suppliers.
* Working closely with suppliers; monitoring and reviewing KPI’s
* Work with internal stakeholders to meet customer demand, escalating any issues.
* Review production shortages and overdue purchase orders.
* Maintain accurate records of the cost, quality and performance of materials purchased
