Currently, we are seeking a highly skilled Associate Architect to provide guidance in both Architecture and Interior Design for numerous prestigious projects. This individual will collaborate closely with our senior team while also mentoring and supporting our talented junior members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Guide design vision, ensuring alignment with client goals and company values, maintaining design integrity from concept through to execution.
* Initiate and maintain strong client relationships through meetings, presentations, conflict resolution, and consistent communication to understand and fulfil project ambitions.
* Strategize and oversee concepts, materials, and layouts ensuring consistency in design intent across the team.
* Develop technical drawing packages, construction details, issue sheets, and schedules across all project stages, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
* Oversee on-site project delivery to ensure alignment with design intent.
* Provide support to the Design Director during client presentations.
* Lead small teams across all RIBA stages, mentor staff, conduct workshops, and manage team resource allocation and project profitability.
* Engage in strategic planning including programme creation, invoice tracking, timeline monitoring, and managing contractual changes or delays.
* Oversee contract management, monitor project finances, and support compliance with payment schedules and financial reporting.
* Act as a brand ambassador by upholding company values, managing personal responsibilities effectively, and exemplifying professional standards.
REQUIREMENTS
· Must have a degree in architecture or similar. Must be ARB qualified or equivalent, or 6-10 years working in an architectural role as a Part II or Part III.
* Successfully delivered 3 - 5 projects covering Architecture and/or Interior Architecture & ID.
* Articulate and refined design ability and style with an emphasis on technical design and detailing.
* Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office; Revit experience is an advantage.
* Experience working with external consultants, suppliers and contractors.
* Experience in project management, client management and team leadership.
* In-depth knowledge of all RIBA Work Stages, Building Regulations and construction methods.
* Knowledge of NBS specification writing is advantageous.
* Positive, can-do attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Understanding of procurement routes, contracts, and business operations.
* Understanding of company-wide issues including resourcing, monthly invoicing, and deliverables.
