Class 1 Tipper Driver requiredWe have a position available for a class 1 tipper driver to join our small friendly team at our yard near Markham Moor.We deliver aggregates, grain and other farm produce, previous experience is important but not essential as training can be given if your willing to learn. This isnt a job where you sit around on a bay waiting to be unloaded. Its a fast-paced environment where you will need to work on your own initiative and also be able to follow instructions as well as understand pin drops. You must be able to speak, write and understand English to a high standard. Early starts or late finishes are to be expected. You will have your own truck, it will be your responsibility to keep it clean and tidy, inside and out. We are looking for a driver who has a good understanding of driver hours and tacho laws and can use them to full advantage. You will be mostly home every night, however on occasions it maybe be necessary to night out with little notice depending on work loadThis is a challenging job so you will need a can do, positive attitude and a passion for the job. This is a Monday to Friday job as generally you wont have the hours left to work a Saturday.You will also be required to have MPQC card in dateResponsibilities:?- Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations?- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving?- Inspect the truck before and after each trip to ensure it is in good working condition?- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuelResponsibilities:?- Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations?- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving?- Inspect the truck before and after each trip to ensure it is in good working condition?- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage?- Communicate with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise?- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and transportationRequirements:?- Valid commercial driver's license (CE)?- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents?- Proven experience as a tipper driver?- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team?- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlinesPlease note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
