The Role: Plan and deliver high-quality, age-appropriate lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Foster a positive, stimulating classroom environment where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to learn
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor, assess, and record pupils’ progress to inform future planning and ensure children reach their developmental milestones.
* Work closely with support staff, parents, and school leadership to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils.
* Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour management procedures.
* Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges, both inside and outside the classroom
* Support children’s early literacy and numeracy development through structured activities and rich, language-based interactions.
* Contribute to the planning and delivery of transition programmes, supporting children as they move into Reception or from Reception to Key Stage 1.
The ideal candidate:
* A qualified teacher with QTS (achieved via a Degree with QTS, PGCE, or SCITT).
* Proven experience in an EYFS setting, ideally in a reception class.
* Knowledgeable about current best practice in early years education, including the role of outdoor learning and child-led inquiry.
* A nurturing, creative, and adaptable approach to teaching.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
