You will seek to improve all aspects of quality and minimise customer complaints, dissatisfaction and defection. You will develop all members of staff to achieve the highest levels of performance in order to ensure a. & b. above. You will be able to establish the levels of staff required to achieve the established organisational targets and objectives. You will recruit and train Service Department staff, subject to authority delegated to line Managers. You will recruit the agreed number of apprentices and trainees. Ensure that training and development processes are fully maintained so that future productive personnel requirements are satisfied. Ensure that training standards are fully maintained so that future manpower requirements are covered. About you… You will have technical skills, knowledge and experience of the retail motor industry. Have skills in applying and using knowledge in a management position. Have the ability to organise clerical work, administration, control systems and financial resources. Have leadership and coaching attributes. You will have the relevant and up-to-date knowledge of vehicle design, manufacture, consumer and vehicle legislation, industry and trade practices. You will have technical, Professional and Engineering qualifications. You will have experience and knowledge of modern business methods and financial control. Skills in using this knowledge in a practical way. Have knowledge of the changing face of the Industry in the light of E.U. Legislation and the effects on the business. (Preferred) Membership of The Institute Of The Motor Industry.
