This role requires a dynamic individual to join the NHS Fife Practice and Professional Development Team. You will work closely with the Head of Department, Public Services Delivery (PSD) Scotland and partner Further and Higher Education Institutions in a leadership role to provide effective managerial support, education, and development. You will lead the team, provide strategic direction, and inspire the PEF/CHEF team to maintain the Quality Standards for Practice Placements and the NMC Standards, supporting supervision and assessment in practice.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the PEF/CHEF team, ensuring that local and national priorities are delivered.
* Provide strategic direction for practice placement quality and NMC standards implementation.
* Support student nurses and midwives across all practice learning environments within Fife.
* Work with managers, clinical staff, practice assessors and supervisors to build an effective learning environment.
* Deliver high quality supervision, assessment and professional development programmes.
Qualifications
* Well‑developed interpersonal and excellent communication skills.
* Experience in teaching and facilitation.
* Excellent organisational skills with ability to lead and manage a team.
* Ability to provide continuous improvement and maintain quality standards.

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
