Location: Telford Job Type: Full-Time Salary: £27-33k Working Hours:Full Time Mon-Thurs 8.30am-5.15pm, Friday 8.00am-12.30pm, 37.5 hrs per weekClosing dateAbout the Mechanical Fitter Role: Are you a skilled Electromechanical Fitter looking to work on cutting-edge precision equipment? Join a respected manufacturer serving the metal and plastics industries, including food and beverage packaging. Youll be part of a collaborative team assembling high-spec inspection machines from the ground up. Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter: Assemble precision measurement machines, jigs, and fixtures Work from component level to complete product alongside skilled engineers Perform mechanical adjustments using lathes, milling machines, and grinders Inspect builds using DTIs and Gauge Blocks to ensure geometric tolerances Interpret pneumatic schematics and assemble pneumatic systems Fault-find electrical and mechanical systems Wire electrical panels and read electronic schematics Work with stepper motors, sensors, control systems, and BUS systems What Were Looking For: Level 3 Engineering qualification or time-served experience (HNC desirable) Bench fitting and mechanical assembly expertise Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Detail-oriented and committed to continuous improvement Able to work independently and as part ...
