Due to continued expansion a new opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to oversee a substantial capital expenditure programme over the next 5-10 years and beyond. This role will suit someone experienced operating in a similar environment or an up-and-coming project management professional looking for the next step up on the career ladder.
The company are a large and very successful business involved in the production and supply of a diverse range of high-quality sand and related products for a variety of sectors throughout the UK. The business has a strong brand, and your role will add real value to the companys capital investment programme, assisting in delivering their ambitious plans for future growth.
As Project Manager you will:
Create and develop detailed plans, define tasks, set schedules, assign resources and oversee the execution of all work.
Co-ordinate the completion of documentation across multiple projects: including requirements, agendas, notes and actions.
Co-ordinate site activities with commissioning, technical and site staff.
Identify potential risks, assess their impact and develop mitigation strategies to minimise their likelihood and impact.
Monitor progress, tracking key milestones and taking corrective action when necessary to ensure work is on track and within budget.
Be responsible for managing budgets, ensuring work is completed within the allocated resources.
Implement quality control processes to ensure that deliverables meet agreed standards.
Act as a central point of communication, ensuring that information flows effectively.
Ensure all site rules and Health & safety standards are observed.
We are keen to speak to people about this Project Manager opportunity with the following skills and experience:
A hands-on approach to project management tasks.
Formal qualification such as APM / PMP / PMQ / CAPM / Prince2 is desirable but not essential.
An ability to demonstrate proven success to date in leading teams to deliver extensive capital expansion programmes on time and within budget.
Ideally have some exposure to the quarrying industry not essential.
Continuous improvement mentality.
Experience of budgeting and having financial responsibility.
Service delivery focussed.
Strong collaborator and team player, with the ability to interface with multiple teams and functions.
In return you will receive a salary of £55,000-£60,000 plus car and benefits package including:
