Job Description
Our client, a manufacturing business, seek to appoint a Manufacturing Engineer to their engineering team. The appointed manufacturing engineer will be responsible for converting designs from the engineering team into something that can be easily understood by the shop floor production team through creating and maintaining BOMs and build instructions and delivering training to small groups of operatives. You will have knowledge of continuous improvement / lean and be able to reduce cycle times and identify opportunities to cut waste. You also need good CAD skills for minor tweaks to engineering drawings.Manufacturing Engineer - Role & Responsibilities - Production Engineer, BOMs, CAD, Lean, Continuous Improvement- Create, train and maintain BOMs, Build Instructions and Training Guides- Administer and update the product master database to ensure accuracy of ERP/MRP system- Assess assembly methods for new tooling requirements and costs- Audit build packs to ensure compliance - Maintain current and create new labels within label database- Responsible for Engineering Change RequestsManufacturing Engineer - Skills & Abilities - Production Engineer, BOMs, CAD, Lean, Continuous Improvement- Minimum of 2 years experience of production engineering covering BOMs, Build Instructions, CAD design and costings- Apprentice trained / HNC qualified preferred- Lean and continuous improvement knowledge Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, BOMs, CAD, Lean, Continuous Improvement
