Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, whether they are residing in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or receiving home care. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the comfort and well-being of those you assist.
Duties
* Provide personal care services including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
* Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in condition.
* Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences.
* Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.
* Support clients with Alzheimer's and dementia care, employing behaviour management techniques as needed.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring their comfort at all times.
* Document care provided and report any concerns or changes to the appropriate personnel.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience in caregiving roles such as:
* Assisted living or nursing home settings.
* Providing patient care for seniors, including hospice care.
* Familiarity with first aid procedures is highly desirable.
* Experience in home care environments is advantageous.
* Prior experience with childcare can be beneficial for certain client needs.
