We're seeking an experienced and confident HLTA to join a forward-thinking school in Bristol this September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to combine classroom teaching, strategic support, and one-on-one interaction with pupils with a variety of special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver tailored support across multiple classes
* Assist in lesson planning and resource preparation
* Lead sessions and supervise classes during teacher absence (max 8 pupils)
* Support behaviour strategies and school-wide SEN initiatives
* Work with the leadership team to drive pupil progress and wellbeing
What We're Looking For:
* Experience supporting students with complex SEN and behavioural needs
* HLTA qualification (or equivalent Level 3 + experience)
* Confident communicator, team player, and highly organised
* Understanding of alternative communication methods (e.g., PECs, Makaton)
* Comfortable leading small groups and delivering planned activities
