Job Title: Accounts Payable Administrator
Contract: 12 months FTC
Salary: £26,767 (pro- rate £15,056)
Location: Cardiff (remote)
Working Pattern: 12.30pm - 5pm (Monday - Friday)

We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Administrator to join our Finance team in Cardiff on a part-time, fixed-term contract. If you’re someone who enjoys bringing order to complexity, spotting details others might miss, and making sure everything balances perfectly, this role is your opportunity to play a key part in ensuring smooth operations behind the scenes.
Responsibilities
1. Process supplier invoices & credit notes accurately and on time
2. Match invoices to purchase orders and goods receipts
3. Check and apply correct VAT coding
4. Resolve invoice discrepancies and credit notes
5. Maintain vendor master data and supplier files up to date
6. Prepare payment run for approval - actions any exceptions within required timescales
7. Liase with Corpay to manage any payment exceptions
8. Produce and distribute remittance advices
9. Handle AP mailbox and supplier queries professionally
10. Support month-end processes (journals, reconciliations, Bank statement postings)
11. Liaise with Procurement and other departments to resolve issues
12. Assist with audit requests and provide documentation
13. Coding for invoices relating to: The BMJ, BMJ Journals, Customer Services
14. Suggest and support process improvements
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
15. Previous AP or purchase ledger experience
16. Desirable experience of working within high volume transactional teams.
17. Desirable experience of working with Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable.
18. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
19. Good communication and problem-solving skills
20. Ability to work to deadlines and manage priorities
21. Educated to a good standard, degree not essential
