Duties and Responsibilities
As the Business Development Executive, you will:
* Identify, engage, and qualify key Extreme Networks partner accounts to drive growth
* Generate leads, book appointments, and build strong partner relationships
* Drive new business acquisition and upsell opportunities across existing and new accounts
* Meet and exceed KPIs and SLAs across call activity, pipeline generation, and revenue targets
* Profile organisations and decision‑makers using tools such as LinkedIn
* Proactively uncover new business opportunities and channels to grow market share
* Arrange and coordinate face‑to‑face partner meetings for the Extreme Networks channel team
* Develop a strong understanding of the Extreme Networks portfolio and present effectively to partners
* Forecast and manage deals, collaborating with finance and credit teams when required
* Drive partner attendance at events, webinars, and sales/technical days
* Maintain accurate reporting and pipeline tracking for aligned accounts
Qualifications and Experience
About you: the ideal Business Development Executive will have:
* Proven success in a business development or sales “hunter” role, with a track record of winning new business
* Confident making outbound calls and engaging prospects daily
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport
* Excellent negotiation, objection handling, and closing skills
* Highly organised with strong time management and attention to detail
* Self‑motivated, proactive, a solution‑focused and target‑driven mindset
* Strong administrative and follow‑up discipline
* Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a fast‑moving environment
* Strong relationship‑building skills both internally and externally
* Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
* Willingness to travel for client meetings and events
* Team player with a collaborative approach to sales
* Desirable: Experience within the IT or technology sector
* Familiarity with Extreme Networks products/portfolio
* Experience using NetSuite CRM
