HLTA– Small Primary school located in the Winchester suburbs
A vibrant, small school in the Winchester suburbs is looking for an Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support with small group teaching for a group of children who need extra support. This role may include planning and resourcing with support from class teachers.
This long-term role begins asap, with potential to go permanent for the right candidate.
Applicants must hold an HLTA qualification, CACHE Level 3 in Education, or an Education Degree.
Key responsibilities for this Higher Level Teaching Assistant role are:
To be able to adapt planning and resources to suit the needs of the group and individuals
To step into the role of the teacher at points to deliver lessons if a teacher is absent or on PPA
Take part in collaborative planning and assessment
Be confident to support individuals with additional needs
Be an active member of the wider school community
The minimum requirements for this Teaching Assistant role are:
Have the right to work in the UK
2 Years’ worth of references
A current DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
Have an HLTA qualification/a level 3 CACHE certification/ a degree in education
