Clinical Equipment Manager

Permanent, Full-time

Remote role with occasional travel

The Role

The Clinical Equipment Manager will support the Head of Practice Services in developing Bupa Dental Care's (BDC) clinical equipment strategy and provision. This role will be key in delivering appropriate solutions across all Bupa Dental Care brands, while providing support in all aspects of equipment management, maintenance, and repair.

Responsibilities

* Introduce, manage and maintain the dental equipment asset register to ensure up to date records are maintained.
* Provide information on new equipment purchasing to Bupa's maintenance provider.
* Interface with suppliers to determine scale of obsolescence and availability of parts.
* Monitor and act upon MHRA and ECRI reporting and deliver communication to dental centres/ business where appropriate.
* Monitor and analyse equipment failure trends received by dental centres and suppliers.
* Run regular audit on assets to ensure compliancy and condition of equipment.
* Responsible for managing all exceptions to the CAPEX process and ensuring requests are managed in line with SOPs.
* Maintain the equipment risk register
* Manage queries from dental practices in relation to maintenance and servicing requirements.
* Track equipment maintenance issues, log with the appropriate maintenance provider and resolve performance issues.
* Attend contract review and supplier meetings.
* Assist in providing subject matter expert support for clinical equipment installations across all Bupa Dental Care practices.
* Clinical equipment subject matter expert for all practice refurbs and new builds.
* Manage and maintain technical equipment information on the BDC SharePoint.

Skills/Experience

* Knowledge of dental equipment and maintenance intervals is required.
* A dental background is desirable.
* Understanding of medical device regulation and dental regulation is desirable.
* Able to create efficient ways of working, with a good understanding of Microsoft Office
* Good commercial awareness and familiarity with contracts and KPIs.
* Customer insight and empathy

* Highly results driven with an insistent focus on quality and delivery
