We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Designer to join our team in Stevenage. This role involves understanding client needs, proactively identifying solutions, and ensuring consistent delivery of service excellence.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the Client is aware of their duties under CDM 2015
* Review existing H&S information and advise if additional surveys are required
* Stakeholder engagement
* Oversee the creation of the Design Risk Register
* Assist the client in identifying suitable project preconstruction information
* Compile the Pre-construction information pack
* Assure supplier appointment and advise on competency for the role
* Supply the Principal Contractor with H&S information to inform their construction works
* liaise with the Principal Contractor throughout the construction phase
* Compile the Health and Safety File
Qualifications
* NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ L6 in Health & Safety
* NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational H&S
* NEBOSH Fire Certificate
* Technical Member of IOSH
* Certified Member of IOSH
* Chartered Member of IOSH
* APS Principal Designer
* Extensive years of experience working on similar projects / programmes
* Proficiency in Design Risk Management
* Proficiency in implementation of the Hierarchy of Controls in proposed designs
* Proficiency in managing the H&S risk of the preconstruction stage
