The role:
The position involves varied activities including front-end conceptual studies, detailed design, operational support, and decommissioning. The engineer will perform CFD simulations based on client standards, communicate solutions through calculations, reports, and presentations, and interface directly with clients. The role may also include marketing, business development, representing Genesis in industry groups, and supervising discipline teams within a multidisciplinary team.
Job Purpose:
* Lead and coordinate CFD studies within multidisciplinary projects.
* Ensure the quality and content of CFD work across projects.
* Support proposal development for CFD-related projects.
Main Responsibilities:
* Perform CFD simulations using proprietary (.CFX) or in-house software.
* Conduct engineering calculations and produce technical reports.
* Present findings to clients.
* Lead and coordinate discipline personnel.
* Ensure project scope, standards, and QA procedures are understood and followed.
* Oversee documentation and participate in technical activities.
* Travel as needed to support project activities.
Required Background and Experience:
* Relevant engineering degree or equivalent.
* Significant upstream oil & gas industry experience.
* Proficiency in CFD studies with CFX software.
* Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid properties, and phase behavior.
* Understanding of design issues for oil and gas processing facilities and utilities.
* Experience with steady-state process modeling and analysis.
* Ability to evaluate uncertainties in production systems.
* Proficiency in MS Office and excellent English communication skills.
* Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
