We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional projects and are looking for an experienced Builder/Bricklayer to join our talented team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and bricklaying, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. As a Builder/Bricklayer, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials while ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role involves working mainly on residential projects, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
* Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units according to specifications and blueprints.
* Measure and cut materials accurately using hand tools and power tools.
* Mix mortar and other bonding agents as required for various projects.
* Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and quality standards.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area at all times.
* Perform repairs on existing structures as needed, including roofs and walls.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in masonry or bricklaying is essential (minimum of 5 years experience).
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
* Strong understanding of construction safety practices.
* Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks for extended periods.
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* A valid driver's licence is required for travel between job sites.
