Accounts Assistant
Howard James Recruitment is excited to be working with a growing company in the fire and security sector, seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining smooth financial operations while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Maintaining and updating financial records and databases
* Processing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions
* Responding to internal and external enquiries relating to accounts
* Supporting the finance team during busy periods or holidays
* Performing general administrative duties and filing
* Ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate financial reporting
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar accounts role
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
* Experience with Sage accounting software
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently or as part of a team
* Desirable: Experience with Xero or other financial systems
