The Opportunity
We're on the lookout for a Practice Accountant ready to step into a Client Portfolio Manager role. You'll manage your own portfolio, becoming the go-to advisor for clients. The role blends accounts preparation, corporation tax, VAT, self-assessments, and management accounts.
What You'll Do
* Produce and review statutory accounts, management accounts, and tax returns.
* Provide advice around budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
* Act as the trusted contact for your clients, building long-term relationships.
* Support and review the work of junior team members.
* Work confidently with cloud software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent) and CCH.
About You
* At least 5 years of experience in an accountancy practice.
* ACA/ACCA qualified, or Qualified by experienced with strong technical expertise.
* Solid background in accounts prep, tax compliance, and VAT.
* Able to explain financial information clearly to clients.
* Organised, proactive, and naturally good at building rapport.
