What you’ll be doing
As a qualified Dispensing Optician, you will be providing a high level of customer care and expert advice to make a real difference to our customers and keep them coming back. You will work in one of our stores, reporting to the Store Manager.
Key responsibilities
* Providing clinical support in store for regulated dispensing
* Inspiring your Optical team by sharing your knowledge to offer the very best service.
* Listening to the needs of customers and offer expertise and advice.
* Helping our customers to choose the correct eyewear and offer guidance to ensure our customers receive the best product suited to their needs.
* Supporting the team to deliver an efficient model day and operational processes to ensure that the business trades.
* Providing expert knowledge for patients with more specialist requirements.
What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)
* Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
* Passion for your own learning and development, completing all CPD training as part of the GOC requirement.

Dispensing Opticians! We are looking for a Dispensing Optician to join us in our Northwich practice! This position is part‑time, working 2 days per week with the proposed pattern as – Week 1: Monday & Saturday and Week 2: Monday & Tuesday. This 4‑testing room practice has a spacious modern feel as it was recently refitted in 2024 – the practice is freestanding and sits alongside HearingCare. You would be joining an experienced team of 23 comprising; 1 Dispensing Optician, 1 Contact Lens Optician, 4 Resident Optometrists and 2 Pre‑Registration Optometrists. This practice is well connected, with the train station a short 10‑minute walk away, bus depot 2‑minute walk away and free parking a short 5‑minute walk away.
