JOB TITLE: Freelance Content & Social Media Executive Freelance contract — approx. 2 days per week (8:30–16:30) with potential for hours to increase. REPORTS TO: Marketing & PR Manager JOB PURPOSE This is a freelance position responsible for bringing the brand’s content and social media strategy to life across all channels. The role supports wider marketing initiatives while independently creating engaging, high-quality content that drives engagement, brand awareness, and sales. You’ll work closely with the Marketing & PR Manager, turning strategy into action and ensuring consistent brand representation across platforms, campaigns, and channels. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Execute the social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Meta, X, and emerging platforms, under direction of the Marketing & PR Manager. Create platform-native content (reels, stories, videos, graphics, static posts) aligned with brand tone and identity, with the aim of driving engagement and sales. Plan and maintain content calendars in collaboration with the Marketing Manager and relevant teams. Support campaign performance reporting, providing insights and recommendations. Identify, engage, and collaborate with content creators and influencers. Stay up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and formats, proactively recommending new approaches. Capture and produce content via photography, videography, and live coverage at events, markets, and pop-ups. Monitor audience engagement and social listening, escalating opportunities or issues. Ensure all content reflects the brand’s values, seasonal campaigns, and marketing objectives. KEY REQUIREMENTS Proven experience managing organic social media for a consumer-facing brand (food sector preferred). Strong creative capability in photography, videography, and content creation. Proficiency with Canva, AI tools, and photo/video editing software. Experience working with influencers and creators. Strong understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices. Ability to interpret performance metrics and suggest improvements. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Proactive, organised, and able to take initiative while also following direction.
