An independent flood risk and environmental consultancy is seeking a Flood Modeller / Hydrologist to support a growing portfolio of complex UK and international water-related projects. You'll join a distributed team across the UK working on drainage and flood risk challenges across private development and infrastructure sectors.
Your new role
The main responsibilities of this role will include:
* Produce detailed Flood Risk Assessments aligned with Scottish planning policies
* Develop and review 1D/2D hydraulic models using industry-standard tools
* Undertake hydrological analyses (e.g., WINFAP, ReFH2, FEH statistical methods)
* Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies
* Translate technical modelling into accessible client reports
What you'll need to succeed
* Degree in Geography, Environmental Management, or Engineering
* 4+ years of UK-based industry experience is essential
* Proficiency in flood modelling software such as Flood Modeller, ESTRY, TuFLOW
* Prior experience engaging with SEPA and understanding of NPF4 policies
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
