With significant investment in new machinery, digital shopfloor systems, and a factory extension, the company is now seeking an Operations Manager to drive the next stage of operational and cultural evolution. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone ready to make a measurable impact. You’ll be stepping into an organisation with strong technical capability but untapped operational potential. Key challenges include: * Improving delivery performance, OEE, and labour efficiency * Embedding operational cadence, accountability, and KPI ownership at all levels * Introducing lean/OPEX disciplines and industry-standard processes * Strengthening shopfloor culture with greater engagement, discipline, and accountability Your Impact Within your first 12–24 months, you will: * Deliver significant improvement in OTIF, OEE, scrap rates, and labour efficiency * Embed daily management, visual boards, 5S, TPM, and CI projects across operations * Build a performance-led culture through structured reviews, one-to-ones, and coaching * Control operational costs, driving improved gross margins and return on investment * Lead by example — visible, decisive, and respected on the shopfloor * Position the business for scalable growth into its next multi-million turnover stage Experience Required: * Degree-qualified in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations Management * Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certified * 10 years in operations leadership within precision engineering, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing * Proven record of delivering transformational performance improvement * Strong financial and commercial acumen — able to manage budgets and improve margins * A hands-on, credible leader who can inspire people and drive change through structure, discipline, and engagement If you’re an operational leader ready to take ownership, drive performance, and shape a growing engineering business for the future, click apply below
