About PickArt

PickArt is an post-revenue art-tech startup redefining how people encounter, experience, and buy art.

We bring together venues and artists to display and sell genuine, ready-to-hang artworks in short-term rentals, cafés, restaurants, and workspaces. Guests and visitors discover real art where life happens while artists gain visibility, income, and encouragement to keep creating.

Beyond curating these collaborations, PickArt also offers a smart sales engine (SaaS) for venues and artists who already work together but want an easy, seamless way to handle discovery, QR-based checkout, and sales management.

Our aims are to:

* Give emerging artists real visibility and fair sales opportunities.
* Place meaningful, authentic art in everyday spaces making travel, dining, working, and living more inspiring.
* Make art discovery and buying effortless, human, and joyful for everyone involved.

Originally founded in Switzerland, PickArt is now growing fast in the UK and preparing for broader international expansion.

The Role

We are looking for a creative and strategic Marketing Lead who can help shape how PickArt is seen, understood, and trusted. You’ll own our overall marketing presence, defining our tone, refining visuals, and ensuring that what we say and show inspires confidence in both artists and venues.

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of marketing at a pivotal stage of the company's growth. While PickArt already has an existing brand presence, social channels, and marketing materials, you should feel empowered to challenge assumptions, rethink approaches, and build a stronger, more coherent vision for how we present ourselves to the world.

We are not looking for someone who simply executes instructions. We are looking for someone who identifies opportunities, proposes ideas, experiments, and takes responsibility for making things happen. You will have significant autonomy in deciding what marketing activities are worth pursuing, how resources should be allocated, and how success should be measured.

Your work will span multiple channels including social media, website content, events, partnerships, press and media outreach, sales materials, and broader brand communications. Beyond building awareness and trust in the PickArt brand, you will also help us grow our network of hospitality partners by developing outreach strategies, identifying opportunities, and creating compelling materials that attract venue owners, property hosts, hotels, short-term rental operators, cafés, restaurants, and other spaces where art can be discovered and sold. Over time, you will be responsible for creating a scalable marketing system that supports growth across markets.

You’ll mix strategy and execution every day: developing ideas, writing, coordinating creative work, testing new approaches, and learning from results. You do not need to be a professional graphic designer or videographer yourself. However, you will be responsible for ensuring that the necessary creative assets are produced, whether by creating them personally, using external freelancers, or managing specialist providers.

Why This Role Is Unique:

* Unusually high autonomy and ownership: the freedom to rethink, redesign, and rebuild how PickArt approaches marketing.
* Shape a purpose-driven brand that gives visibility and income to emerging artists.
* Work on the intersection of art and hospitality: two deeply human and inspiring industries.
* International role as we are operating across Switzerland and the UK and planning to expand beyond.
* A rare strategic + hands-on creative role where your work is seen immediately.
* Direct collaboration with the founder and zero corporate bureaucracy.
* Clear growth path into full-time leadership with real influence on future team and direction.

About the Team

There are seven of us working on the project now.

Timofey is the Director of PickArt UK. You will be working with him most of the time.

Ivan is the Director of PickArt Switzerland, our pilot market.

Evgeny is our Swiss-based CTO who is responsible for building our platform alongside Andrey and Jainel, based in Bulgaria and Colombia respectively.

Olivia is our curatorial director in the UK finding new talented artists every week.

Elena is advising us legally from Germany.

What You’ll Focus on

1. Building Brand Trust

Craft messaging and visuals that position PickArt as a credible, values-driven partner for both artists and venues through consistent tone, storytelling, and high-quality materials.

2. Conversion-Driven Copy for SaaS

Develop and test messaging for our sales-engine product, aimed at artists and venues using PickArt’s digital tools to sell art directly. Turn curiosity into sign-ups with smart, confident copy and clear communication of value.

3. Supporting Sales & Curation Teams

Elevate the look and feel of our pitch decks, info packs, and presentations, ensuring that every piece of client- and partner-facing material speaks the same brand language. In this role, you will be addressing both artists and hospitality professionals.

4. Market and Audience Analysis

Design and conduct small-scale market analyses (through surveys, interviews, or focus group) to understand our audiences better and refine our messaging. The insights you generate will guide future content, positioning, and platform strategy.

5. Marketing Experiments & Growth Initiatives

Identify and test new ways of reaching artists, venues, and art buyers. This may include content campaigns, partnerships, events, PR opportunities, referral initiatives, community-building activities, or entirely new ideas. We expect you to proactively bring opportunities to the table rather than waiting for direction.

6. Hospitality Partnerships & Venue Acquisition

Help expand PickArt's network of hospitality partners by identifying and engaging potential venues, property hosts, short-term rental operators, hotels, cafés, restaurants, and workspace providers. You will work closely with the team to develop messaging, outreach approaches, and partnership initiatives that generate new opportunities and strengthen our presence within the hospitality sector.

First 90 Days

* Review PickArt's existing marketing presence across social media, website, sales materials, and communications, identifying opportunities to strengthen our brand, messaging, and audience engagement.
* Refine and strengthen our visual and verbal identity across Instagram, LinkedIn, website, and other key touchpoints, ensuring a coherent and credible brand experience.
* Produce 6–10 Instagram posts and ~2 LinkedIn posts/month that communicate our mission and showcase real artists and venues
* Improve clarity and design of our key sales materials aimed at artists and hospitality venues
* Design and execute one or two lightweight market analyses (e.g., messaging surveys, audience interviews, or content performance tests) to inform ongoing campaigns and shape our understanding of user motivations.

You’ll Thrive Here If You

* Are highly proactive and entrepreneurial: you do not wait for instructions, but consistently identify opportunities, propose ideas, and take ownership of making them happen.
* Enjoy operating with a high degree of autonomy and ambiguity, and are comfortable making decisions without extensive guidance.
* Want the freedom to shape a brand rather than simply execute an existing marketing plan.
* Have 5+ years of experience in brand, content, or growth marketing, preferably within hospitality, hotels, short-term rentals, real estate, coworking, or related industries.
* Have a genuine interest in art and creative expression, and enjoy engaging with these worlds beyond your day-to-day work. Professional experience in the arts is not required, but enthusiasm for the sector is essential.
* Are both strategic and hands-on: able to turn ideas into reality, whether by creating assets yourself or coordinating others to deliver them.
* Value clarity and authenticity over corporate polish.

Success Looks Like

* A clear, consistent PickArt brand identity across all touchpoints.
* Higher confidence and conversion in external communications.
* Meaningful content that builds trust and recognition.
* Growth in views and sales of artworks.
* Early evidence of traction for the SaaS sales engine (artist sign-ups especially).
* Documented learnings and audience insights that guide long-term marketing direction.
* Consistent execution of new initiatives and experiments that generate measurable learning and business impact.
* Marketing systems and workflows that can scale as the company grows.
* Growth in the number and quality of hospitality partners, including short-term rental hosts, hotels, cafés, restaurants, and other venues displaying artwork through PickArt.

Growth Path

If you bring energy, structure, and results, the role can scale quickly to full-time with ownership over brand strategy, creative direction, and cross-market campaigns.

Option grants may be considered upon conversion based on impact.
