Responsibilities
* Greet and welcome guests with a friendly attitude, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable.
* Take accurate food and drink orders using the restaurant's ordering system.
* Serve food and beverages promptly while adhering to food safety standards.
* Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
* Assist in food preparation when required, ensuring high standards of culinary presentation.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and kitchen.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any guest concerns.
* Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure all guests receive prompt attention.
* Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic maths for bill calculations.
Requirements
* Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred but not essential.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
* Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
* Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction.
* A basic understanding of food preparation processes is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service.
* Ability to work well within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
