Overview
We are seeking a dependable and proactive Caretaker to support the day-to-day operations of our college estate. This hands-on role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe and secure learning environment for students, staff and visitors.
Salary: £24,700 - £24,960 per year
Hours per week: 37
Weeks per Annum: 52
Working pattern: TBC
Location: Abingdon Campus
Contract type: Permanent
Responsibilities
* Opening and securing college buildings
* General maintenance and basic repairs
* Conducting routine health & safety checks
* Setting up rooms for college activities and events
* Supporting cleaning, grounds maintenance and porter duties
* Responding to emergencies and out-of-hours call-outs as needed
Essential Experience
* Experience in a similar caretaker or facilities role (desirable)
* Practical skills in DIY and basic maintenance
* A strong awareness of health and safety
* Reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
