Job Summary
An exciting opportunity is available as a Senior Project Manager within the Cardiff Joint Research Office. The role will provide maternity cover for the Business and Partnership Manager.
The role will be directed by the JRO senior management team to support a number of projects to deliver a one team approach to research and development activities across Cardiff and Vale UHB and Cardiff University.
This is a fixed term post until 25th September 2026 to meet the needs of the service.
Responsibilities
The post holder will liaise closely with members of the joint research office senior management year and be accountable to the R&D Manager.
Projects will be aimed at facilitating and overcoming barriers to bringing together the research and development teams across the component organisations to develop a single team culture, focussed on delivery and maximising potential. Additional support will be needed to coordinate information to populate the website, supporting delivery of joint internal process such as early project reviews and tracking and compiling performance reports.
The role will be required to liaise and communicate with key stakeholders such as the wider community of Researchers in CAV and CU as well as external research organisations.
Flexibility and good communication are needed to ensure the needs of the research community are met and the benefits of the system are effectively understood.
The confidence to challenge existing ways of working is key to bringing about service improvement and improving systems and services.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
