An acquisitive IT services business with multiple sites around London, experiencing sustained growth and making regular acquisitions over the past 5 years. The business currently has a £20 million turnover and is hiring its first FD to report to the owner.
Role overview
As the first FD, you will manage a team of 5 and report directly to the Owner. Your focus will be establishing appropriate accounting processes and rigor, and providing strategic financial direction to the executive team.
Key responsibilities
1. Full responsibility for the finance function
2. Managing the Financial Controller
3. Establishing and maintaining robust control over the reporting process
4. Financial planning and analysis, delivering clear commercial insights
5. Strategic involvement in planning and M&A activities
6. Director-level responsibilities within an owner-managed business
