Assistant Editor (Master's/PhD holder) - Clinical Medicine, Health and Social Sciences
MDPI Romania invites recent PhD and Master’s graduates to join our Editorial team. The role is full‑time, permanent, and located in our city centre office in Manchester, UK.
Responsibilities
* Support the editorial process for academic journals within your domain of expertise.
* Organise peer review and coordinate editorial decisions.
* Handle email communication between authors, reviewers, and editors.
* Collaborate with the editorial and production teams.
* Ensure articles are edited and published on time with high consistency.
Requirements
* PhD (preferred) or Master’s degree in Medicine, Healthcare, or Social Sciences.
* Experienced in fields such as:
o Healthcare (e.g., Nursing, clinical care, healthcare technology, health economics, etc.).
o Behavioural Sciences (e.g., Psychology, psychiatry, neuropsychology, etc.).
o Medical Sciences (e.g., Clinical Medicine, Epidemiology, public health, etc.).
* Excellent written and spoken English.
* Advanced knowledge of MS Office.
* Team player able to work in an international environment.
* Detail‑oriented with big‑picture thinking.
* Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
* Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Training & Career Development
Training is provided by an assigned tutor over the first six months. In this entry‑level position you will gain experience publishing from submission to release and may be assigned to journals in your field.
